  13. This program is SHAREWARE. Distribution of the UNREGISTERED 
  14. version of this program is encouraged as long as it is copied

  16. program itself, but a nominal distribution fee may be charged 
  17. for the diskette used to distribute this software as long as 
  18. the purchaser of said diskette is informed that the fee for 
  19. acquiring the diskette does not constitute payment of the

  28. NOTE: You may have a version of this program without the,  
  29. file "VBRUN300.DLL" provided.  This was done to save disk 
  30. space and download time.  VBRUN300.DLL is widely available 
  31. and in fact may already be in your windows\system sub directory.  
  32. Vbrun300.dll is required for this program to function.  It 
  33. will be necessary to obtain a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in order 
  34. to install and run this program.

  36. System requirements.  The minimum system needed to run Canticle  
  37. Images is an IBM 386 with a 256 color video system.  The images
  38. provided with this program are 24 bit highly compressed pictures.
  39. Due to the extreme compression and extensive decompression needed
  40. to display these images, a 486/33 processor is recommended as the
  41. minimum system necessary to provide satisfactory program performance.
  42. A video mode of 16 bits (65536 colors) or higher will provide 
  43. photo quality images, 256 color video modes provide a less 
  44. satisfactory picture.

  46.   1. Canticle Images is a screen saver and image viewer for 
  47.      windows. Canticle Images can play music from a CD-ROM. 
  48.      Music can play as pictures are being displayed.  You can 
  49.      select Password protection if desired.  Messages can be 
  50.      left on the screen.
  51.   
  52.   2. Canticle Images can be installed as a standard Window's 
  53.      Screen saver from Window's desk top, or can be used from 
  54.      the Program Group that Canticle Images makes for windows.
  55.      Canticle Images can be used as both.
  56.   
  57.   3. Canticle Images can be used as a screen saver and/or an 
  58.      image viewer. If you have installed Canticle Images as a 
  59.      screen saver, and want to use it from the program manager 
  60.      to leave a message or make your system password protected 
  61.      while you have to be temporarily away, you can do this by 
  62.      double clicking the Canticle Images Icon.  If Canticle Images
  63.      is running from the program manager, it will not invoke 
  64.      itself as a screen saver even if the amount of time has 
  65.      passed to call it as a screen saver from the desktop.

  67. How do I install the program?
  68.   
  69.   1. Install Canticle Images for Windows from a disk.
  70.       
  71.       a. Start Microsoft Windows.
  72.       
  73.       b. Insert the disk in the proper drive. 
  74.       
  75.       c. From the Window's Program Manager, select FILE MENU 
  76.      and choose RUN.
  77.       
  78.       d. Type B:\SETUP and press Enter.  Substitute your 
  79.      drive letter for "B:" if your disk is in a 
  80.      different drive.

  82.   2. Install Canticle Images for Windows from a modem download.
  83.       
  84.       a. Unzip you Canticle Images archive.
  85.       
  86.       b. Start Microsoft Windows.
  87.       
  88.       c. From the Window's Program Manager, select FILE MENU 
  89.      and choose RUN.
  90.       
  91.       d. Select Browse, then find the drive and directory to 
  92.      which Canticle Images was downloaded.  Double click
  93.      on the file "SETUP.EXE" then click on the O.K. command
  94.      button.
  95.  
  96.       e. Follow the prompts from the setup program.

  98. Trouble shooting.
  99.  
  100.    1. In some cases, if you are using a program that is 
  101.       accessing or using a DLL or other file that Canticle 
  102.       Images uses and installs, you may receive a message 
  103.       during installation that warns you that a file can not 
  104.       be installed since it is already in use by your system.  
  105.       You can choose Ignore to this warning and the program 
  106.       should install correctly.
  107.    
  108.    2. If you receive a message that tells you the file 
  109.       THREED.VBX cannot be copied, your system already
  110.       has the file THREED.VBX in the windows/system sub
  111.       directory.  Some versions of the file THREED.VBX
  112.       fail version checking by the Canticle Images setup program
  113.       and cannot be overwritten.  This will cause the Image 
  114.       Master + setup to fail.  If this occurs, you must remove
  115.       or rename the existing file THREED.VBX already in your
  116.       windows/system subdirectory so that the setup program
  117.       provided with Canticle Images can install the newer version of
  118.       THREED.VBX to your system.

  120. How do I install photo libraries for this product.
  121.  
  122.    1. Insert your photo library disk in the proper drive.
  123.     
  124.    2. Double click on the 'Lirary Installer' icon in the
  125.       Canticle Images program group.  
  126.  
  127.    3. Follow the prompts from the 'Library Installer' program
  128.       to complete installation.
  129.  
  130.    4. Your Canticle Images shareware will be converted to the 
  131.       registered version after your Canticle Images picture
  132.       library has been installed.

  134. How do I register?
  135.  
  136.   1. How much? $24.95 (includes 1 Canticle Images Photo library)

  138.   2. Select REGISTER from the program menu for more information.

  140. How do I make Canticle Images the active screen saver?
  141.    
  142.    1. Select "yes" to the inquiry during installation that
  143.       asks if you want Canticle Images to be installed as the 
  144.       current screen saver.  This will place Canticle Images
  145.       as the current screen saver on your system with a 
  146.       5 minute time of inactivity to start the program.
  147.       The 5 minute "time out" will not take effect until  
  148.       windows has been exited and reentered after Canticle 
  149.       Images installation.
  150.    
  151.    2. You can select Saver Set Up from the Miscellaneous 
  152.       menu to access the Saver Set Up utility in the program.
  153.       Turn the Canticle Images screen saver function on or off
  154.       as well as selecting the amount inactive keyboard or 
  155.       mouse time before the screen saver portion of the program
  156.       starts.

  158. Alternative method for making Canticle Images the active screen
  159. saver.

  161.    1. Once Canticle Images is successfully installed, it may be 
  162.       selected as the current screen saver from windows.  
  163.       
  164.       a. From the Windows Program Manager, select MAIN.
  165.       
  166.       b. From MAIN  select CONTROL PANEL.
  167.       
  168.       c. From CONTROL PANEL select DESK TOP.
  169.       
  170.       d. From DESK TOP select the arrow key next to SCREEN 
  171.      SAVER.
  172.       
  173.       e. From the menu, select Canticle Images.
  174.    
  175.    2. The above steps will select Canticle Images as the 
  176.       current screen saver.  Use the SET UP button to select 
  177.       the features of the program you want.  It is possible to 
  178.       select and preview pictures, MIDI files, and CD-ROM 
  179.       audio.

  181.    3. Push the TEST button to run the screen saver program 
  182.       as a test.
  183.    
  184.    4. Select the desired inactive time for the screen saver 
  185.       program to implement itself.

  187. How do I use the program from the Windows Program Manager?

  189.    1. If the Canticle Images program group is not open, double 
  190.       click on the Canticle Images program group.

  192.    2. To run Canticle Images, double click on its Icon.
  193.  
  194.    3. The program will start in the Set Up Mode.  Select the 
  195.       options you want, then push the Screen Saver button to 
  196.       start the program.

  198.    4. Touch Start:  Double click the Touch Start Icon to 
  199.       activate the touch start hot corners.  A green line
  200.       appears at the bottom left of your screen to indicate
  201.       where to place your mouse to start Canticle Images
